OILS ARE POWERFUL IN SKINCARE, LET’S DISCOVER SOME OF THEM.

oil

Macadamia Oil
Macadamia oil comes from the macadamia nut, which is native to Australia and frequently grown in the temperate climates of Hawaii and California. Its chemical profile is very similar to that of human sebum.

Which are the benefits in skincare?

Macadamia oil contains one of the highest sources of palmitoleic fatty acid (between 16 to 23%), which is a potent antioxidant with hydrating and healing effects on the skin.

It also contains Oleic acid (nearly 60%), a fatty acid well-known for its regenerating and moisturizing properties and Linoleic acid, a fatty acid which helps to prevent from trans-epidermal water loss.

Macadamia oil contains a high level of antioxidants, like squalene, already existing in our body which is very interesting because it prevents from wrinkles and signs of ageing.

This oil is great for people suffering from sensitive skin conditions and mature skins.

Evening primrose oil
Evening primrose is a plant most often found in dry, sunny meadows. The seeds of evening primrose, which grow within an oblong, hairy capsule, have numerous medicinal properties.

Which are the benefits in skincare?

Evening primrose oil is rich in (omega-6) fatty acids, including linoleic acid (LA) and gamma linoleic acid (GLA) between 7% and 10%. GLA has healing properties, which helps to decrease inflammation and this oil will also help to improve the elasticity of the skin.

This oil is proven to calm symptoms such as eczema, psoriasis, itchiness, redness and irritations.

Evening primrose oil regulates also the functioning of the oil glands, so it can help dry, combination or oily skin regulate itself and it will calm acne.

Sunflower Oil

Which are the benefits in skincare?

Sunflower oil is rich in vitamins A, D, C, and E, but also in Linoleic Acid (around 60%) which makes for a powerful skincare ingredient.

Linoleic acid as we mentioned above helps to maintain the health of cell membranes. Being very high in vitamin E which acts as a strong emollient Sunflower oil will catch moisture and keep skin well hydrated.

Vitamin E helps to fight against premature aging of skin improving the cells regeneration. Plus, antioxidants help to protect against damage from the sun, neutralizing free radicals which would damage healthy cells.

You can find these three powerful oils in our INTENSIVE ELIXIR, but evening primrose oil is also in our SUPREME EQUILIBRIUM MASK and sunflower oil in our PURE ACTIVE PEEL
